Bloom Earrings

These sterling silver earrings feature my Bloom design, inspired by the bold shapes and high-contrast style of relief printmaking. Although the design was created as a drawing rather than a print, I approached it with the same mindset I use when designing a relief print—thinking about strong silhouettes, carved shapes, and the relationship between positive and negative space.

Using laser engraving, I was able to translate my original drawing directly into sterling silver while preserving the bold floral shapes and details of the artwork. The result is a pair of earrings that brings together my love of drawing, printmaking, and metalsmithing in a simple, wearable design.
